On Mondays, there's live music with happy hour all day. On weekends, there's amazing brunch specials with tasty cocktails. Top it off with great service, a beautiful decor and lovely mood; this place is probably one of my favorite spots in the Upper East Side. A perfect place for special brunch festivities and/or dinner dates for sure.

Recommendations: Lobster & Baked Eggs and Steak & Eggs


This place is one of my favorite ramen joints in the city. Yes, more than Ippudo or Totto Ramen... and the reason why? Meijin Ramen's soy-beef-based broth is amazing and distinctive (its broth is clearer than the other ramen joints). I'm really looking forward to trying all of their ramens, especially their chicken based broth ramens and the Spicy Chili Beef Ramen #ItLooksAmazing. Oh and please please try their tempuras... make sure you dip a bit of green tea salt, you'll know what I'm talking about. Lastly, if you're looking for something else to go with your ramen, get a curry dish. 

Recommendations: Soy Beef Broth Ramen, Kurobuta Berkshire (Pork Loin) Katsu, and Pumpkin Tempura


I love my cupcakes, I love my pies, I love my cakes. So, where can you find all of those amazing baked goodness (and more)? Two Little Red Hens in the Upper East Side, that's where. Although this place can be packed and crowded time to time, it's worth the trip uptown and have some delicious baked goods. This place is also great for getting cakes and pies. #Yum!

Recommendations: Pumpkin Pie and Brooklyn Blackout Cupcake


This is a cozy and homey restaurant in the Upper East Side (recommended by my friend who's been living here for two years) that serve a great scallops dish (with the best risotto I have had in awhile) and of course the trout dish. It is definitely a great place to bring your family for a lovely dinner outing. Next time I go, I am definitely trying the Duck à la Orange and the Steak Tartarethe couple next to me was having them, and it looked and smelled so good!

Recommendations: Pan Seared Sea Diver Scallops with Spinach & Risotto and Grilled Trout Fillet Alsacienne
